CONCUSSION: FOOTBALL'S BIGGEST HEADACHE
About The Documentary
This documentary is being made with the intention to gain a broader understanding of how concussion injuries are dealt with in football, and how suffering one on the pitch can affect a player, and sadly end a career.
” Concussion: Football’s Biggest Headache” is a seven minute radio documentary aimed at BBC Radio 5 Live. It aims to highlight the difference in attitudes and protocols football has in regards to concussion when compared to rugby.
Through speaking to various people including a case study, Dan Parslow, who suffered a concussion while playing my hope is that this documentary can raise awareness for the dangers concussion poses to footballers and allow more people to force the powers that be to have a serious conversation about introducing new measures to protect the welfare of players.
